Jane Russell, best known as Marilyn Monroe’s “sidekick” (though some I would say Monroe’s ditzy, diamond-loving character was the Robin to Russell’s Batman) in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes died last week due to respiratory issues.
So, in the spirit of remembrance, gentlemen may prefer blondes, but I prefer the brunette Russell performing “Ain’t There Anyone Here for Love?”
