Have you seen the trailer for Rock of Ages?
From the looks of it, I don’t think it can compare to the stage version (have you seen Julianne Hough and Alec Baldwin’s hair? So not big enough for the ’80s!), but I am very much looking forward to seeing Tom Cruise play the ageing, prima donna rocker Stacee Jaxx, whom I think he’ll nail.
My friend Clare has a major hard on for Michael Falzon, who played Jaxx in the Australian stage production, and thinks Cruise won’t do the role justice. I, on the other hand, found the character of Jaxx to be completely over the top and irritating, so I think Cruise will be a natural!
